Common tools for DIY, building, workshops.
As Business English teachers we have to adapt our classes to the many different types of companies where we teach. We’re not always going to be teaching office-bound employees from the Finance or Marketing departments. Having taught students in one of world’s leading tool manufacturers, I know that it can be quite difficult to get materials that are relevant to the work of builders, carpenters, mechanics and other trades. That’s why I’ve put together this worksheet on common tools. It’s a gentle introduction to some of the most common implements found on a building site or in a mechanic’s workshop. It should also be useful for any students who are DIY enthusiasts.
