As English teachers, I’m sure we’ve all let out a groan when forced by our schools or language agencies to use a particular textbook with our classes. Unfortunately, many of the biggest-selling textbooks have an out-dated feel and lack real-world examples, or just don’t fit the age and cultural profile of our students. Hopefully the fresher, brighter materials at Linguabanca will enable you to ditch the textbook and keep your students engaged.

Teachers who want to do their best by students will usually turn to the internet in a frantic search for more up-to-date and realistic classroom materials. However, finding that perfect worksheet, exercise or grammar explainer can often involve many hours of trawling through EFL websites and filtering out tonnes of user-submitted content. Linguabanca’s premium classroom resources
Linguabanca was created to take the frustration and the disappointment out of finding quality classroom materials for teaching English as a foreign language. On our site you’ll find a range of professionally-produced paper, digital and audio resources which we hope will make the lives of teachers a little bit easier. We’re not the BBC, but we try our best with the resources at our disposal. Our team includes graphic designers, educational authors, teachers, scriptwriters and even actors, all set on producing the most professional downloadable English resources on the web.
Free materials and resources
All the EFL resources on Linguabanca are free-to-use. You are not asked to pay a cent for any of our materials. There are no hidden costs. This is not a ‘Freemium’ model, it’s a FREE model!
New Business English site
Update Spring 2024: While we are still adding new materials to Linguabanca this is not our only website for learning languages. In fact, there are more than ten sites in our network. Currently, our teachers and programmers have been busy working away on our new site for learning business english. It’s called Business English 23 (crazy, eh?) and it’s currently in Beta stage. Take a look, and let us know what you think.
Telephone English course
As part of the BE23 website we have written a whole course on Telephone English. It’s completely free, like all our materials. So check it out and help your students lose the fear of speaking English on the phone. Or, take a look at the email section, with lots of model emails in English to copy and use.
